RIGID
POLYISOCYANURATE INSULATION improves the energy efficiency of
roofs and other structures, thereby reducing energy costs while
maintaining compatibility with all types of roofing systems and
fire assemblies. We supply insulation in a variety of thicknesses,
providing long-term thermal resistance (LTTR*) values from 6.0
to 25.0.
Polyisocyanurate is a closed cell foam core that is integrally
laminated to heavy black fiber-reinforced felt facers. It is available
in 4´ x 4´ (1220mm x 1220mm) and 4´ x 8´
(1220mm x 2440mm) panels.
Polyisocyanurate
Insulation is typically specified for hot asphalt or coal tar
BUR, modified bitumen, metal and single-ply membrane systems.
The sheets have one side marked for hot BUR and modified bitumen
applications and one unmarked side for single ply and cold-applied
modified bitumen applications, making this an almost universally
adaptable product suitable for a variety of applications. Because
it is manufactured in a factory where rigid quality control standards
can be maintained, it offers consistency of quality and performance
that cannot be matched by field created spray applied insulation.
It can be installed by any skilled tradesman using simple, readily
available tools and accessories.
The
following properties of Polyisocyanurate insulation make it an
effective insulating material:
Bitumen and
adhesive compatibility
Impact resistance
Fire resistance
Durability
Moisture resistance
Thermal resistance
Attachment capability
Component compatibility
*LTTR is the most advanced, scientifically supported method
(based on ASTM C 1303-95) of predicting the Long-Term Thermal
Resistance of Polyisocyanurate insulation products.
